Interview with Paul Mann

Inspiration

Good morning all! Today I am very pleased to introduce to you Paul Mann. Paul is a renowned conductor of orchestras but you may also know him for his extensive work with Deep Purple and Jon Lord. Throughout this fascinating interview we discus Paul’s life and early career from the Norther Ballet and his conducting fellowship, though his work with Deep Purple and Jon to present day and his current tour of Deep Purple’s Concert for Group and Orchestra featuring Bruce Dickson (@BruceDickinsonYT ) John O’Hara (@officialjethrotull ), Tanya O’Callaghan (@tsubbass ), Kaitner Doka (@kaitnerzdokaofficial9760 ) , Bernard Welz (@adrumedar ) and Mario Argandona. There are some lovely and personal memories of Jon and tales from his uncle Colin Hart who was road/tour manager for Deep Purple and Rainbow. We talk about the Celebrating Jon Lord concert at the Albert Hall, and how to become a conductor and even Mozart gets a look-in along the way. I’m really proud of this one and Paul is a really nice and giving gent, after we finished the record there were some more great stories to be had, especially Paul’s introduction to Deep Purple as a conductor by Colin – maybe we will hook again sometime to air these but for now please enjoy a delightful chat with my new friend Paul Mann….
